The Mammoth Book of Regency Romance "Her Gentleman Thief"
Annalise bravely looked up to meet the highwayman's gaze and found herself locked in by the most stunningly beautiful green eyes. And were it not for the silk black domino mask tied behind his head, she might have forgotten who he was and what was happening. The lantern-light flickered off his face, of the features she could clearly see--a strong jaw, sculpted lips, a hint of a day's growth of whiskers--it was quite evident that he was devilishly handsome.
The highwayman leaned against the carriage, crossing his feet at the ankles. The pistol dangled from his hand, almost as if he held nothing more than a handkerchief. There was a casual air about him, as if this situation were a perfectly normal occurrence for a Monday evening.
The Men of Solomon's meet in secret, their very existence only a rumor among the best of Victorian society. They are treasure hunters, men of wealth and title, seekers of myths and legends. And no legend is as mystifying as the lost city of Atlantis...
Desire Me
Years ago, Maxwell Barrett found a map to Atlantis and dedicated his life to the search for the mystical lost continent. But when an alluring woman makes a wager for the priceless artifact, he may have discovered an even greater treasure.
A descendant of Atlantis, Sabine Tobias needs the map to decipher an ancient prophecy. What she doesn't need are the sparks flying between her and Max. He's too devilishly charming to be trusted: The fate of her people is at stake as well as her heart. Yet a ruthless killer also covets the map. Now Max and Sabine must race to decode the prophecy's riddle before this criminal fulfills his deadly mission.
I can't believe summer is coming to a close. Pretty soon The Professor will be returning to the classroom and I'll find myself spending more of my days with only my cats to keep me company. Well, them and all of my characters. It's been a lovely summer full of travel and family visits and workshops and book releases. You've all been so kind about Desire Me and I'm so happy that you love my Legend Hunters as much as I do.
Starting August 17th you'll be able to find the special RomCon Readers Crown winner displays in your local Borders. I'll be traveling to as many of these as I can (within driving distance of Central Texas) and signing books. So be sure to look for Seduce Me and feel free to send me pictures of the display, either by email or on my Facebook page.
By now you should all be seeing The Mammoth Book of Regency Romance in your local bookstores. I'm super excited about participating in this volume, not only because of the great company I'm keeping (um, hello Anna Campbell and Barbara Metzger!) but also because this is my first foray into the Regency period. In my novella, Her Gentleman Thief, you'll meet Annalise, a runaway bride and Griffin, a most unlikely highwayman. I do hope you enjoy the story and I hope to return to this time period sometime in the future.
I've seen the cover for Treasure Me, the 3rd Legend Hunters book which hits stores in March 2011 and I think you'll all love it. I can't wait to be able to share it with all of you.
This month I'm hosting another contest with Fresh Fiction so be sure to check that out. And don't forget about the spontaneous giveaways on the Jaunty Quills and my Facebook page. Also if you're not following me on Twitter, come join the party!
Happy reading!
